PaperGuru Starter Welcome Credits and Fellow Referral Rewards Campaign Terms

PaperGuru is a general-purpose agentic research platform. This page explains the rules, eligibility requirements, and restrictions for the campaign where users can invite new users to subscribe to Fellow and receive Credits rewards.

By participating in this campaign, you ("User") acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to comply with these terms and conditions. Violation of this policy may result in suspension or termination of your eligibility, and any campaign rewards may be forfeited. PaperGuru reserves the right to terminate a user's participation at its sole discretion. All judgments, standards, and other decisions related to this campaign will be based on PaperGuru's records, data, and logs.

Definitions

Credits: Credits are technical units used within the PaperGuru platform to measure AI service usage. The actual number of usable actions depends on model type, input length, and other factors. Credits cannot be restored once consumed.

1. Campaign Overview

The core campaign mechanism is:

Invite friends through your dedicated referral link. If the referred user registers a PaperGuru account and subscribes to Fellow, the referrer will receive 2000 Credits per successful referral. 2000 Credits can approximately support drafting one SCI Q3-Q4 paper.

2. Campaign Period

This campaign takes effect on the publication date and runs for one week.

The campaign period is subject to official announcements. PaperGuru reserves the right to adjust or terminate the campaign at any time. After the campaign ends, all incomplete referrals will no longer be eligible for Credits rewards.

3. Campaign Scope

This campaign applies only to registered PaperGuru users.

4. Eligible Participants

4.1 New Users

Users who register for PaperGuru for the first time during the campaign period are considered "new users."

• New users who log in to the PaperGuru website and complete registration or sign-in through GitHub or a personal email address can receive 500 free Credits.
• New users who register with an edu email address can receive 1000 free Credits.
• The above welcome benefit can only be claimed once per device.

4.2 Referrers

Any registered PaperGuru user whose account is in good standing, meaning it is not suspended, banned, or otherwise restricted, may participate in the referral reward campaign.

4.3 Referred Users

Referred users must be new users who have never registered for or used PaperGuru before. The referred user must access the website through the referrer's dedicated referral link, complete registration, and sign in to PaperGuru to establish the referral relationship.

PaperGuru reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion, whether a user is eligible to participate in this campaign.

5. New User 500 Credits Welcome Rules

5.1 Claim Process

After a new user registers and signs in to the PaperGuru client, the user starts as a Starter user and the system automatically grants 500 Credits. If the user registers with an edu email address, the system grants 1000 Credits.

5.2 Restrictions

• Each person may claim this benefit only once.
• Each device may claim the Starter benefit only once. If the system detects multiple accounts claiming the benefit on the same device, those accounts will be treated as the same participant and cannot claim the benefit repeatedly.

6. Fellow Referral Reward Rules

6.1 Definition of a Successful Referral

1. The referrer obtains their dedicated referral link in PaperGuru and shares it with a friend who has not registered for PaperGuru.
2. The referred user accesses the PaperGuru registration page through that link, completes registration, and subscribes to Fellow (20 USD / month).

6.2 Referrer Reward

For each successful referral, the referrer will receive 2000 Credits.

There may be a delay between the referred user satisfying the activity conditions and the referrer receiving the reward. Referred user status is updated periodically, and rewards for successful referrals will be credited to the referrer's account after confirmation. Granted Credits are valid permanently from the date of grant and are issued as a Credits airdrop. Users can view the expiration time of each Credits reward in their account dashboard.

6.3 Reward Cap

There is no cap on the number of rewards a referrer can receive through this campaign.

6.4 Invalid Referrals

Referrals that do not meet campaign standards or are flagged as fraudulent or manipulative, including self-referrals, fake account creation, spam, or other malicious promotion methods, will be considered invalid and ineligible for rewards.

If PaperGuru determines that any referral activity is fraudulent, manipulative, or violates these campaign terms, the relevant users may be disqualified and any rewards already granted may be recovered. PaperGuru reserves the right to take further action, including but not limited to suspending or terminating relevant accounts and pursuing legal remedies.

7. General Terms

• Non-transferable: Rewards are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
• Compliance with laws: Participants must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to advertising, promotion, and data privacy. Any referral involving illegal, deceptive, or misleading conduct is strictly prohibited.
• Truthful representation: Referrers must accurately and truthfully describe PaperGuru's products, services, and features. False, exaggerated, or misleading statements are prohibited.
• No disparagement: Participants must not engage in conduct that disparages PaperGuru or its products, services, or reputation.
• Prohibited activities: Participants must not engage in spam, unsolicited messages, or other harassing communications, and must not use fraudulent, unethical, or coercive methods to obtain referrals.
• Self-referrals: Participants are strictly prohibited from self-referring or engaging in any activity designed to manipulate the campaign for personal gain.
• Cancellation, recovery, and account action: If a participant violates any obligation, term, condition, requirement, policy, law, or rule related to their account or any PaperGuru service or product, any rewards granted by PaperGuru may be immediately cancelled, forfeited, and/or recovered. PaperGuru may also take enforcement action against the relevant account, including suspension or termination.
• Confidentiality: Participants must keep confidential any non-public information shared by PaperGuru during the campaign and any relevant information about referred users, and must not disclose such information to third parties.
• Campaign changes: PaperGuru reserves the right to modify or cancel this campaign, change its terms, reward structure, or eligibility criteria at any time. Changes will be announced through official channels. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
