Simpler Billing, More Credits

PaperGuru billing is now simpler: one credit-pack system, no expiring credits, more value in many packs, and a transition credit adjustment for recent purchases.

We have simplified PaperGuru billing.

Previously, PaperGuru had several related billing concepts: subscriptions, passes, regular credit packs, and member-only credit packs. They worked, but they also made the system harder to understand than it needed to be.

Starting now, PaperGuru uses one clear credit-pack system. You can buy the pack you need directly, and all credits no longer expire.

One Clear Credit-Pack System

There is no separate subscription or pass to choose before buying credits. The available packs are now straightforward:

  • Starter 20
  • Starter 50
  • Starter 100
  • Fellow Pro
  • Fellow Max
  • Fellow Ultra

Anyone can purchase any pack. The goal is simple: you should be able to understand what you are buying, how many credits you receive, and what benefits come with the purchase.

More Credits in Many Packs

Many packs now grant more credits than before, so the same purchase can go further.

Fellow Pro, Fellow Max, and Fellow Ultra also grant one year of Fellow status. Fellow status will be used for benefits such as premium support, early access to new models and features, and eligibility for pilot coaching sessions.

We will continue improving what Fellow status includes over time, but the billing model itself is now much easier to reason about: buy credits, keep your credits, and receive Fellow status when you purchase a Fellow pack.

A Fair Transition

To make the transition fair, we will compensate users who purchased the old $50, $100, $200, or $500 credit packs in the 7 days before this change goes live.

If that applies to you, we will automatically add the credit difference to your account based on the new package amounts. You do not need to contact support or take any action.

This update is part of a broader effort to make PaperGuru pricing clearer, more transparent, and more aligned with how researchers actually use the product.
